Sony has announced a new UltraHD 4K TV line powered by Android TV back in April. The following month, we saw a preview of the Sony 65X850C 65-inch UltraHD TV. Finally, this June, we have some information that the X900C TV model showed off at the CES 2015 now has a price tag.
The Sony X900C 4K Ultra HD TV is available in two sizes: a 55-inch and a 65-inch model. The two variants cost $2,499 and $3,000, respectively. There’s also the X910C 4K Ultra HD TV available in all its 75-inch glory and with a $5,499 price tag. These 4K Ultra HDTVs are just some of the six new series from Sony this year. The Sony X900C and X910C 4K Ultra HD TVs will be available in the market starting July. Pre-order has jut started yesterday, June 21, on several Sony stores.
As promised, the Sony X900C brings 4K clarity and vivid colors displayed in a very thin design. It’s the thinnest from Sony to date, even thinner than some smartphones today. That’s only 0.2-inch thin so you can imagine how thin and sleek it really is. The X910C, with its 75-inch display, is the thinnest of its size. All these models boasts of ultra-thin frames. Actually, Sony describes them as virtually frameless already.
You can easily mount these models to any wall without any problem. Specs of the X900C and X910C Ultra HDTVs include an X1 processor engine, X-Reality PRO Picture Engine to improve HD quality to 4K content, and TRILUMINOS display technology for almost real colors. These TVs run Android TV so that means you can run numerous Android TV-apps like YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, CBS News, Netflix, Hulu, CBS Sports, NBA Game Time, SlingTV, Pandora, and Crackle.
You can also play most games on Google Play Store on the Android TV, as well as, cast entertainment apps courtesy of Google Cast. Also included is a voice search feature that helps search for information and content. The gamers can also be familiar with the Ultra HDTVs because they can enjoy PlayStation with PlayStation Now. If you have a DUALSHOCK 4 controller, you can stream PlayStation 3 games straight to the TV to play.
Sony X900C and X910C will be available at Amazon, BestBuy, online Sony store, and physical Sony stores.
