We already spotted the 2016 Samsung Galaxy S7 on TENAA a couple of weeks ago and we knew that the device is almost ready for launch. Samsung has yet to unveil the smartphone but image renders recently surfaced on China Mobile. This means launch is happening very soon.
So far, here’s what we know about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016): a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, Exynos 7870 processor with octa-core 1.7GHz CPU and Mali-T830 GPU, 5MP front-facing camera, 13MP rear camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 3300mAh battery. The phone will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow already out of the box and not Android 5.1 Lollipop as we speculated earlier.
Don’t be deceived by the high specs because the Samsung Galaxy J7 will remain as a mid-range phone and with a sub $300 price–still affordable. Phone was also recently sighted on the FCC grounds so that tells us that it’s almost ready.
Other specs of the Galaxy phone model SM-J710x include a 16GB built-in flash storage, 2GB RAM, microSD card slot for storage expansion, dual SIM card support, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and N-Fi.
We don’t know yet when will Samsung exactly make the official announcement of the 2nd-generation Galaxy J7 but we’re guessing it’s happening soon. Phone may also be revealed together with the new Galaxy J5. We’ll see.
