Remember that Webmaker program that lets you make a webpage on your smartphone? The app which we first learned about last June is finally out of beta mode. Webmaker by Mozilla can now be downloaded by everyone so you can start building your very own website.
Webmaker for Android is ideal for those new smartphone users and mobile-first Web users who have limited access to a computer or the Internet. Mozilla’s Webmaker allows you and me to make easy to read sites that can be accessed from any mobile phone. Anyone can be a website builder with this app so instead of just being a passive consumer, you can now provide content yourself to the World Wide Web.
This program is available in four languages initially including English, Brazilian Portuguese, Indonesian, and Bengali. This means anyone who speaks the language mentioned can easily make original content. Mozilla is still working on other languages and will be adding them soon to the app. Making this app a winner is that it’s very simple to use. It’s easy to understand and that there’s no steep learning curve according to Mozilla. You won’t see any complex toolbar here and navigation is very intuitive.

What kind of page can you create using the Webmaker? Any informative page to scrapbooks to memes, games, or art portfolios. The idea is to make a basic website that includes text, links, and images. Feel free to create handbooks, manuals, sketchbooks, photo albums or just about anything. You can also work on other Webmaker projects created by family, friends, and colleagues.
