The Motorola Xoom has been in the news a bit this afternoon. First we got word that the Xoom 4G LTE upgrade cleared the FCC and should be coming soon, then we got another treat and that is Android 3.2 Honeycomb is rolling out today.
Along with the Android 3.2 update came some zoom features for apps not destined for the larger screen, as well as MicroSD support (finally) and a few other new features we still are waiting to try out. Our friends over at Droid-Life now have the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update available for download if you dare, sadly this is for the Wi-Fi ONLY version. It is highly recommended that if you own the 3G Xoom you wait as this update has only hit Wifi models so far.
All they have is the file available down download, no instructions or info about if it has been pre-rooted or anything exist. So this is one of those update if you dare moments and as always, anything that happens is your own fault. If you can’t wait and want to flash the latest update build HTJ85B for your Wi-Fi ONLY Motorola Xoom then check out the source for the download files and good luck. Once the developer community get more time we will have full instructions and one-click updates soon, I think I’ll wait as mine is 3G.
