Motorola’s feedback network has another software update “project” coming soon and this one is for the Motorola Xoom tablet. They were previously calling these early pre-release updates soak tests but it appears calling them a “project” now makes more sense. Could this be a small software bugfix? Or maybe even Android 4.0 ICS? Hopefully we’ll know soon.

Similar update projects have recently been seen for the original DROID and even the DROID Bionic but they were all just software improvements and fixing a few bugs. We are very hopeful for something much bigger for the Motorola Xoom 4G but that is most likely a bit premature and ICS hasn’t been around nearly long enough for Motorola to get a test build out just yet.

As usual the email going out from the Motorola owners forum mentions this is only a project test build and users in good standing can take a survey and enter to participate in the Xoom “project”, and to keep all information confidential. Thankfully we have a few awesome readers that were nice enough to send the tips our way regarding this upcoming update for the original Android tablet — the Motorola Xoom.

If you’d like to join the Motorola Owners Forum feel free to hit up this link and maybe enjoy some project builds yourself. Don’t forget to drop us any tips up top or in the comment section below. — Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
