Motorola has finally and officially announced the Moto Z3 Play. We’ve been waiting for this one since early April when we first saw the image renders and a 360-degree video shared online. A few weeks later, the KARBON SHIELD case for the Moto Z3 Play went up for pre-order. The phone has been described with smaller bezels and dual cameras and as with the older Moto Z phones, it works well with Moto Mods. We’ve shared what you needed to know and today, we can confirm if the information we got turn out to be true.
Some of the things we know can be confirmed. The video teaser and image renders are not enough but don’t worry, the Moto Z3 Play is ready to make your everyday extraordinary with its premium features. The new Moto phone boasts an edge-to-edge screen, AI features, dual depth-sensing smart cameras, and contextual computing.
The Moto Mods add new functionalities. Your phone can go from ordinary to extraordinary, thanks to modular technology. The old Moto Mods can still work on the new Moto Z3 Play but we’re excited to use and try the new ones like that mod that can print Polaroid photos and project a 70-inch screen.
The Moto Z3 Play comes equipped with a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, One Button Nav bar at the bottom, and a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The moto z3 play delivers Moto Experiences that are intuitive. There’s Moto Actions and Moto Display. The latter adjusts the screen automatically to tones that will make you fall a sleep. The Moto Actions allows gesture control to capture a shot, launch the camera, or turn on the flashlight. There’s also the Moto Power Pack that adds more hours to your regular battery life.
Motorola is launching the Moto Z3 Play today with a R$ 2,299 price tag. That’s about $598 in the United States. US Cellular and another network will carry the phone but it will also be ready from other retailers like Amazon as a Prime Exclusive Phone, Walmart, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Fry’s, and Target. In Canada, the phone will be offered by SaskTel, MTS, Virgin Mobile, Bell Mobility, and Videotron.
