The Moto Z is currently available in the United States from Verizon together with the Moto Z Force. The UK also has listed the phone for pre-order on Amazon UK this time together with the Moto Z Play. Now back again in the US, the Moto Z and Moto Z Play have just been listed for pre-order on both Best Buy and Amazon.
Moto Z orders on Amazon will ship beginning October 2 while the Moto Z Play will be delivered starting October 20. There’s no information when Best Buy will make the phones available but store pickup is coming soon.
Both Moto Z and Moto Z Play can be used with Moto Mods. You can turn either of them into a battery powerhouse, boom box, or a mini movie projector. The Moto Z comes equipped with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen, 2560 x 1440 Quad HD resolution, 2.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 64G built-in storage, microSD card slot, 4GM RAM, and a 2600 mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology. Meanwhile, the Moto Z Play boasts of a 5.5-inch 1080P super AMOLED display, 16MP rear camera with laser autofocus, 5MP front camera, 32GB storage, 3GB RAM, and a bigger 3510 mAh battery–also with TurboPower charging.
The Moto Z and Moto Z Play both run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and are compatible with most networks in the country like T-Mobile and AT&T. Moto Z costs $699.99 while the Moto Z PLay is only $449.99. Pre-order from Amazon and Best Buy. Moto Mods are sold separately.
