If you’re a frustrated tennis player or even just a casual one, the mobile tennis games you’ve been playing haven’t really hit the mark. But a new game available for Android devices just might do the trick because it allows you to actually do the motions you would normally do in real tennis play and it will even tell you if your motions have helped you lose a little weight.

You would need three things to play Motion Tennis Cast: your Android smartphone to serve as your motion sensor (and where the app is installed), a video casting device like Chromecast, Miracast, AllShareCast, etc, plus a TV screen that supports video casting. Now you can get to experience “real” tennis as you serve for the game, hit a forehand or backhand, reach for that lob, and smash an overhead winner. You can also choose which court type you play in, whether it’s grass, clay or synthetic.

The game has four difficulty levels, to also test out your actual tennis skills. As we said, it can also help you get fit as the app will tell you how many calories you’ve actually burned with each match and then will give you a table with all the calories burned all in all. You can choose to train first, then play with an AI opponent to test out your skills. When you’re ready, you can go on Time Attack mode where you get to play with players all over the world and see how you’ve progressed.

Motion Tennis Cast is available for free in the Google Play Store. There are some in-app purchases available so exercise caution, for your credit card’s sake.
