The Android phone market is booming right now with new devices stirring lots of interest among smartphone users. The OS has proven so appealing to consumers that many manufacturers are rushing to provide devices running Android.

One of the most recent Android devices to his the market is the HTC Hero. Geek royalty Walter Mossberg over at the Wall Street Journal has posted up his review of the Hero and says that the handset is the best Android phone he has ever tested.

Mossberg says in his review that the device is not visually appealing with a dull gray color and it is noticeably thicker than the iPhone. It also packs a screen smaller than the iPhone and has less memory. The good news is the Hero has expandable memory, which is arguably better than the iPhone. Pics snapped with the phone were also said to be good.
