The last update for the Next Lock Screen was released last February. Microsoft added fingerprint unlock support as part of its reliable security measures. Microsoft doesn’t often update the app but when it does, expect the changes to be significant. This time, the software giant’s lockscreen app is updated to 3.2 version and now features a new logo and some UI enhancements. Notice the new color scheme and the logo with the more streamlined letter ‘N’.
With the change in logo, the Next Lock screen is established as more of a location-based lock screen. The blue pin tells us that the app will provide information and serve the necessary features depending on one’s location. Some other changes include those smoother and more optimized icons on the Notifications. As a Launchpad, you can now set to hide the contacts and you will notice some minor improvements on the UI.
Your Bing wallpaper will be updated every hour so your phone will have a new image background every time. Some bugs and errors have been fixed while the weather feature is said to have more accuracy now. If you’re a regular Next Lock Screen app user, you will also notice some improvements on the Forgot Password feature, battery, and performance.
More languages will also be supported aside from English, Spanish, Chinese, and Portugeuese. Expect to see Russian, Turkish, German, French, and Italian on the language settings in the near future.
