Meizu is scheduled to launch a new smartphone after this week. We’re anticipating for the MX6 which was recently sighted on Geekbench. The site shows some 4GB RAM and a deca-core 1.39GHz Helio X20 processor powering the the handset. Before this sighting, the phone was also seen on AnTuTu so we’re almost certain that the specs listed are for real.

So far, we know that the Meizu MX6 will have a Full HD screen, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 32GB built-in storage, and a 4000mAh battery. We’ll have confirmation of the specs when Meizu makes an official announcement in Beijing on July 19.

Meizu

Not much information from Meizu have been shared yet but rumor has it that the new Android smartphone from the Chinese OEM will be a bit more expensive than its predecessor Meizu MX5. Some leaks have also hinted that the MX6 will look more like the Mediatek 10-core-powered Meizu Pro 6. We’re hoping it’s really better because the Meizu CEO has been hinting that it’s an improved version.

Just like any other consumers out there, we’re always hopeful that this will be better than the last and maybe even better than other phones in its category and price point.
