MediaTek impressed the market earlier this month at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona by launching the MT6753 chipset with ‘WorldMode’ LTE. We also heard a rumor that the company is in talks with Samsung. We have no idea about what the two could be working on but this week, MediaTek proudly introduced its newest SoC brand–the Helio.
The Helio X10 will be used for higher and premium range smartphones. It’s officially known as the branded MT6795 but the name SoC Helio X10 is much easier to remember. No need to memorize the MTxxxx reference because MediaTek is simply calling the product Helio X (any number).
This particular product promises excellent and reliable multimedia performance all the time. In other words, it offers extreme performance. The name Helios itself even gives us an idea that it’s gonna be powerful just like the Greek Sun god Helios.
The Helio X10 runs on a 2.2GHz 64-bit LTE octa-core chip. It can also bring 120Hz technology into mobile. The new SoC chip brings a smarter image enhancement technology courtesy of the SmartScreen feature. This will also make photos and the phone display brighter even under the sunlight. Chip can also support H.265 encode up to 4K2K 30fps, Super Slow Motion technology, and Instant focus.
