Lifeproof has always been known for its waterproof cases. We tried the LifeProof nüüd case for the Galaxy S3 and S4 a few years ago. The company is still in the business and it recently announced protective cases for the new Pixel and Pixel XL. We’re guessing that more OEMs will also release their own accessories and add-ons for the first Google-branded phones.
Lifeproof is known for waterproof cases. It recently announced the FRĒ for the Verizon-exclusive Pixel 5.0″ and Pixel XL 5.5″. At the moment, it’s the first and only waterproof case ready for the new Android smartphones.
A phone case is needed since the devices only have an IP53-rating–meaning they are only dust- and water-resistant. With the phone case, your Google Pixel phone will not only be waterproof but also “lifeproof”. That means the pair should be robust and durable enough for everyday rough use.
You don’t have to worry about the smartphone getting wet or submerged in the water because the LifeProof FRE case can handle the pressure. LifeProof case is waterproof and drop-proof to 6.6 feet. It can also withstand harsh elements like snow or dust so your Google Pixel or Pixel XL device is always safe. Also included is a screen protector to avoid scratches.
Just like the Pixel and Pixel XL phones, the Lifeproof FRE cases will be available from Verizon Wireless retail locations and online at verizonwireless.com.
