If you’re in the market for a new, affordable smartphone and you’re still not in the mood to actually go post-paid, then one of your options would be to go to a prepaid carrier of course. If you’re considering going with Boost Mobile (or if you’re already there), the new LG X power will be available with them by Friday. It’s not a device that will set the mobile world on fire but it is pretty decent and boasts of a longer battery life.

The LG X power has a 5.3-inch display and is powered by a 1.83GHz octa-core Media Tek chipset and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (sorry, no Nougat here yet). It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is pretty standard for most entry-level devices now. You can expand your storage space up to 128GB through a microSD card. It has an 8MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter and supports LTE+ as well as 3G, 4G, etc.

While the specs might not excite you, the LG X power does have something going for it and that’s battery life. Well, sort of. The 4100mAh battery will supposedly last you for two days, of course depending on how often you use it. Unfortunately, it’s not a removable battery, so if that’s a deal breaker for you, then move along, nothing to see here.

But another attractive thing for this smartphone is that it’s only $129.99. If you qualify for their monthly device payment option, you’ll just need to pay $9 per month for 24 months. It will be available for purchase by September 23.
