LG is known as the other South Korean tech giant but it’s quickly gaining more attention for coming up with really cool products like the recent LG G5 and its many Friends. Aside from the new premium flagship smartphone, LG also has the K and V series. We know that the company is slowly entering virtual reality but while that may take a while, we’ll just focus first on the G5 and Friends. We’ve already featured several add-on accessories already including the Cam Plus, Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi DAC module, 360 VR, Rolling Bot, and 360 Cam.
We heard that LG will be announcing more modules and add-ons but we were a bit surprised with the release of the LG Action CAMLTE. It’s just that it’s too early for a new one since we haven’t really “played” with the Cam Plus and the 360 Cam. This one is different though because it’s an action camera.
This means it’s ready for more exciting outdoor adventures. It’s more than just a rugged cam. This camera can also function as a CCTV camera which you can use in your vehicle as a dash cam or as for the home for remote access and home monitory.
The 3G/4G LTE connectivity allows live streaming so you can see whatever the cam can capture. Action Can LTE can record videos and capture photos with a paired device. Its IP67-certification allows water immersion for some 30 minutes but someday, you can use it for scuba diving and surfing once the special waterproof case is ready. You can also attach the LG Action CAMLTE to a helmet or bicycle so you can record your ride.
We have no idea about the pricing and availability but here are the specs as listed: 1/2.3-inch 12.3MP rear camera, 1.55 x 1.55㎛pixels, 3G/LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, 2GB RAM, up to 2TB storage, and the 1400mAh battery.
