The LG G8 ThinQ phone is expected at the upcoming MWC 2019. The brand may face Xiaomi and not its long-time rival Samsung. We’ve seen image renders and a 360-degree video that surfaced online and we’re assuming it will also feature the ThinQ technology once the other South Korean tech giant makes an announcement on the 24th of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. It’s not the only brand launching new phones but we’re excited to know about the rumored attachable second screen.
LG’s unveiling event will happen on February 24, 2019, Sunday, from 10AM to 11AM. It will be held just before the doors of MWC open. Expect whatever LG will be announcing will be showcased at the tech floor in Barcelona.
LG will also be sharing its mobile business strategy. The brand’s head of MC/HE business division, Kwon Bong-seok, said the company is making some important changes. Hopefully, all efforts will help improve LG’s standing in the mobile industry.
The next-gen LG G8 is said to feature three rear cameras with 3D shooting capabilities, waterdrop notch, LTE, and the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. We’re not sure if LG has plans to add 5G connectivity to the G8 but we know a 5G phone is already in the works.
LG is also planning a foldable-flexible phone. Nothing was announced at the CES 2019 but we’re looking forward to the Mobile World Congress.
