The LG G3 is out, and it’s a hardware fans dream come true. Metal, lasers, and a stunning screen make for a well-rounded flagship from LG. Though the spec sheet for flagships is starting to level out a touch, LG’s offering is nothing to scoff at. A top-end Snapdragon SoC and standard memory options, along with an extended RAM option, will keep your device humming along.

A big battery is also on offer, which was expected from a device of this size. Here is the full spec sheet:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 801 quad-core — up to 2.5GHz
  • 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS — 2560 x 1440, 538ppi
  • 16 or 32GB Memory
  • 2 or 3GB DDR3 RAM
  • Rear 13.0MP with OIS+, Laser Auto Focus
  • Front 2.1MP
  • microSD slot supporting up to 128GB
  • Removable 3,000mAh battery
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • Dimensions: 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm
  • 149g light
  • LTE / HSPA+ 21
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac,
  • Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X),
  • NFC
  • Colors: Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet, Burgundy Red

We’re here at the LG event, but feel free to join us via the live stream (link below). The G3 is a neat device, but until we get more time with it, we just won’t know if it’s one that can hold up. Available later this summer, LG says it will be made available for all four major carriers stateside.
