Aside from Samsung and Alcatel launching their large-sized tablets, here’s another tech company who wants to enter the extra-large category. We’re not even sure if the Samsung Galaxy View and the Alcatel Xess are doing well in the market but Lenovo is believed to be working on an 18.4-incher with an impressive QHD screen. That’s a 2560 x 1440 resolution display for many different special purposes for the living room, kitchen, office, or school.

Nothing is certain or confirmed yet but we know that Lenovo will be making several announcements at the Tech World 2016 on June 9. We’re expecting the new Moto phones (Moto G and Moto X) if they won’t be unveiled at the Google I/O event. There’s a rumor that finally, the Project Tango will also be launched after a few years of being in the works. If that happens, we’re hoping that Lenovo proves the modular smartphone is worth the wait.

A GFXBench database listing tells us that the Lenovo PB2-690N table will be equipped with the large QHD screen, Snapdragon 650 or 652 processor, Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage, 8MP rear camera, 0.3MP front-facing cam, and that it will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Interestingly, there’s a mention of ‘Android Google Edition’ on the list which could mean it will just be stock Android.

So will this 18.4-inch Lenovo tablet beat the $499 Alcatel Xess and the $449 Samsung Galaxy View? There’s a big chance as long as Lenovo slaps an affordable price.
