If you remember this game – Lara Croft and Tomb Raider fans should well do – you will know that Lara Croft: Guardian of Light was released exclusively for Sony Ericsson devices in 2012. Now it is 4 years hence and the brand Sony Ericsson doesn’t even exist anymore in terms of smartphones, so it seems just right that Square Enix does us some good by bringing the game out for everyone on Android.
If you’re a fan, and if you’re reading this you just might be, you will know that most Lara Croft games will center on her exploring some unknown jungle in Central and South America. The plot for Lara Croft: Guardian of Light game is much the same, and our heroine is searching for the Mirror of Smoke, a powerful artifact from a lost age that can rid the world of its light. Pretty standard. But look at the video below for some visual pegs.
As Lara, players get to battle some epic bosses, but get ready to solve some intricate puzzles as well. Because what’s a Lara Croft game without those darned puzzles. The visuals will be a bit dated, but hopefully Square Enix has done some rendering here and there to make sure the visuals are engaging.
The game is now available via the Play Store (download link below), and you can get it for USD$3.99. Not bad pricing for a game which generally garnered good reviews for its clever gameplay.
