Koush – or Koushik Dutta if we’re being formal – is a rock star in app development. He’s been giving the Android community some great stuff for a while now. He was with ClockworkMod when he started out, and that name still points to one of the most widely-used custom recoveries available. He also developed tools like ROM Manager, ClockworkMod Tether, and DeskSMS. Lately he’s been expanding more into general usage apps, and his new Chrome app Vysor is one of those. Vysor has just been updated with a minor fix.

Vysor is still in beta, but it is a Chrome application that lets you control your Android deviceyou’re your laptop or desktop computer. You think that’s cool, but it also lets you share your Android device’s connection session with virtually anyone else in the world through an easily shareable link. As of now, most users are happy with the app, as the latency is really low and you are tapping on apps, swiping around in your phone, from the convenience of your browser. But the “Share” button is wonderful/terrifying. With your Android device connected, the button creates a URL that anyone with Vysor can view.

The recent update was for phones which had capacitive or hardware buttons, and not soft keys. You could see how that would be a problem if you tried to mirror the screen on to your browser, but you are unable to tap on the three or four main buttons below. Koush announced via Google+ that Vysor now has a soft input panel along the bottom for devices that have hardware keys.

If you like this sort of thing, you can download Vysor as beta via the Chrome webstore. You should take advantage of this, as Koush has said that when the app launches for real, it will not be for free. Find the download link via the source link below.
