Looks like Jide Technology is not resting on its laurels bringing you both the Remix OS – a unique version of Android that gives a desktop-like environment with multi-window and multitasking support – and the devices that run the OS, it now even has an Android emulator which you can directly run on your PC. Dubbed as the Remix OS Player, this emulator is targeted at people who want to run and play their Android games on a PC environment.

The Remix OS Player is based on Android Marshmallow and all the technologies and features used to make Remix OS the unique and beautiful thing that it is. The emulator is optimized for PC usage and is based on Google’s Android Studio. This means that the emulator is fast – able to utilize the additional hardware that the PC gives. Just think of how much better it will be to play Clash Royale, or Vainglory on this.

It is, however, unlike Android Studio and other emulators out there, because the Remix OS Player is able to optimize Android games and apps for the desktop environment just as Jide has done with Remix OS over the time we’ve known it. And for really hardcore gamers, the emulator even has a key mapping tool so you can play games with touch gameplay and control schemes by mapping actions to keys.

The Remix OS Player is downloadable free from the official download page, and is right now available for Windows PC. The emulator is just an executable file that you can click. Jide also says that a Mac OS version will be available soon.
