Just like Tom Cruise never seems to stop starring in action movie franchises, movies will also never stop producing mobile games to tie in with the release of their latest one. The new Jack Reacher movie is still a few weeks away, but you can already start enjoying punching the daylights out of digital people with the release of the Android game Jack Reacher: Never Stop Punching, now out on the Google Play Store for your smartphones or tablets.

We don’t know much about the plot of the new Jack Reacher film but based on the trailer, our hero goes on a lot of fights against the seemingly bad guys, and so the game doesn’t need to be any different. It’s a lo-fi 8-bit side scrolling action game and of course you’re the main character, the ex-military policeman turned vigilante hero and you’re out to pummel the villains into submission. In “the name of justice”, you need to protect the streets and your country from these miscreants.

It’s a pretty straightforward side-scrolling game where all you actually do is run, punch and jump punch your enemies, which are mostly soldiers or old men in suits. This game may also be a nod to the running gag (pun intended) on Tom Cruise and his very specific running sequences in most of his movies.

You can download Jack Reacher: Never Stop Punching from the Google Play Store for free. There aren’t any in-app purchases since all you need to do is run and punch anyways.
