If you have an Honor smartphone from Huawei and you’re eagerly awaiting (or even just mildly interested in knowing) when Android’s latest big update, Marshmallow, is coming to your device, a tweet should clear that up. Well, sort of. Huawei India posted the other day that Android 6.0 will be rolling out in a few months to Honor smartphones, February 2016 to be exact. So if you have a device that falls under that sub-brand from the Chinese brand, this is something to look forward to.

We’re assuming that the Twitter account doesn’t just refer to Honor users in India, as Huawei confirmed last week at an event that they will be rolling out a beta for the Marshmallow update. The beta will initially just be for the new Honor 7, but later on will be available for other Honor devices like the Honor 4C, Honor 4X, Honor 6, and Honor Plus.

Earlier in October, Huawei released a list of their devices that would be upgraded, but it was referring to devices released in China. They will also probably extend to the international versions as well, and if the tweet from Huawei india is any indication, then it’s probably going to be for all other Honor devices as well.

We’ll probably know more details at the rumored Mate 8 launch later this month. Again, this isn’t confirmed yet, so we might have to wait a little while longer before we start to speculate again.
