HTC appears to be offering a few options for those who are considering picking up an unlocked One smartphone. Specifically, two options with the first being the Developer Edition and the second is simply an unlocked model. We have seen both of these before, however the good news as of today is they are once again available for pre-order.
Not only are they available, but HTC has also included a ship date. The catch with that, it appears as if the ship date has extended past what we originally saw. When these models originally came available they were showing a shipping date of April 19 and as of today it is showing as April 23.
Aside from the shipping date, no other real surprise with either of these. Basically, that is to say the HTC One Unlocked is available for $574.99 and the HTC One Developer Edition is available for $649.99. Both handsets are SIM unlocked. The differences here include the Unlocked model having 32GB of internal storage and the Developer Edition model having 64GB of internal storage.
The Developer Edition also has an unlocked bootloader. Otherwise, both handsets have the following in terms of network support; HSPA/WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz – GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz – LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US). Of course, those looking to pick up an HTC One without spending roughly $600, you will be able to grab the carrier branded models for quite a bit less on a two-year agreement.

Could I buy an unlocked version and use it on Verizon?
Only if you have and LTE plan and 4G LTE SIM from Verizon. If you visit an area where no 4G LTE coverage is available, the phone will not work. Verizon does not support HSPA/WCDMA or GSM/GPRS/EDGE, which are the other access technologies that the HTC One supports.
this is false. VZW phones are sim locked. you cannot use a CDMA phone from per say sprint on VZW
If I buy a developer edition could I use it with European SIM cards?
Is it possible to by on a BestBuy Store the Unlocked version?
