The HTC One Max was officially unveiled earlier this morning, and it looks like the handset will be arriving with an official accessory. This one is a case, and while those tend to be a fairly common item, this one does have something extra. The case is called the Power Flip Case and as the power in the name would imply — it brings some extra battery life.
Specifically, the Power Flip Case packs an 1150 mAh battery. And nicely, this is in addition to the 3300 mAh battery already in the handset. This means One Max users could be looking at a total of 4450 mAh of battery. Or in other words, this should be enough to get just about anyone through a day without worry.
The case will snap over the back of the One Max and takes advantage of the pogo pins located on the back. Basically, those line up and you now have an extra battery as well as protection for the front and back of your phone. The case has cutouts for the important features such as the camera and fingerprint sensor. Not to mention, the volume rocker and microUSB port for charging.
You will also be able to bend the case around and use it as a kickstand. All said and done, the Power Flip Case looks like an accessory worth checking out if you are a power user. Anyway, similar to the One Max phone, HTC has yet to announce any pricing for the case.
The One Max itself sports a 5.9-inch 1080p display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM. Other features of the handset include options for 16GB or 32GB of storage along with a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 64GB in size. Users will also find a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, UltraPixel rear-facing camera, HTC Sense 5.5 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
