It was a week ago today that we last talked about the upgrade to Android 2.2 for the HTC myTouch 3G. The original myTouch 3G, the one that came out a year ago, is finally getting its just time in the lime light, as the Over the Air upgrade for the device is finally making its way out. It’s a little behind schedule from those initial rumors we heard a week ago, that suggested the main part of the roll-out would begin on the 13th of October. But, it looks like that was just an initial wave.
If there hadn’t been reports of the update landing on some devices across the country, we would have thought it was just a hoax, leading up to today. But, we know that there were a few people out there getting the update. But, it looks like if you haven’t received it yet, today might be your lucky day. As you might expect, the update will take time, so stay patient. Oh, but a bit of bad news. If you happen to have the 3.5mm headphone version of the myTouch 3G, the Slide, or the Fender Edition? Yeah, this update isn’t for you, apparently. Details about why that’s happening are supposed to come soon, so stay tuned. And if you get the update, let us know how it goes down in the comments section.

Well is 3/31/11 and I have been waiting six months for this upgrade it has yet to come
Would suggest just leaving it as is, my phone is slower, jerky when scrolling and overall feels like a bigger piece of junk than it was before.
My advice would be to just buy a new phone and throw this pos away.
