Finally, HBO Go is now on Amazon Fire TV. People have been clamoring for the HBO Go app but it took HBO a while to bring it to the web TV platform. Other platforms already have it but it’s only now Amazon Fire TV users can get to enjoy more shows from HBO. This piece of news strengthens the claim that the number of apps available on Amazon Fire TV is now up four times. HBO Go is a great addition especially now that over 1,700 titles are in HBO’s archive.
The HBO GO’s arrival on Amazon Fire TV is just perfect for the holidays. Vice President of Amazon Devices Peter Larsen shared that the HBO GO was “the most requested service” yet for Amazon Fire TV since it was launched. That is expected since HBO is very popular. Some of the popular shows right now are shown on HBO GO aside from the many films, original HBO series, sports, miniseries, documentaries, and specials.
The Amazon Fire TV is currently sold for $79. That’s the price listed but Amazon said it will change after December 28. So far, everything is doing well for Amazon Fire TV. It received Spotify Connect support for music streaming last September, GTA Trilogy and TWD Season 2, voice search for Hulu and Crackle, CastResceiver app and more. We’re expecting more apps will be added in 2015.
