Google Stories Google Now card

Just the right information at the right time. This is what Google wants you and me to experience with Google Now. The smart personal assistant feature has been seeing a lot of developments lately especially after the launch of Android Lollipop and Material Design. Google has allowed Google Now to send Hangouts messages by voice commandsNew gas stations on route cards, low flight fare tracking, and more Now cards were recently added.

‘Stories’ is a special feature on Google+ that displays the latest stories on your timeline. These are created out of your recently uploaded photos, showing you what just happened in your life (as if you still need another reminder). This one is interesting and Google has decided to bring it and show up as one of your numerous Google Now cards.

While on Google Now, a card that shows photo preview of one story will be displayed. Information includes the date and the number of moments. To view the particular story, just tap on the card and you will be directed to your Google+ app. You can share this story with your followers if you want.

The Google+ Stories Google Now Card can be informative. My only question now is: how many people are actually uploading their photos on Google+? I’m not sure if there are enough photos in anyone’s timeline that can be selected by Google+ Stories, well, at least I know no one within my circle does.

Google+ Stories are usually created automatically. Once Google has created a Story for you, you will be notified. Just make sure though you turn on your Google Location History or show photos saved on your Google Drive in your photo library. Also make sure Auto Awesome is “on” on your computer or smartphone or tablet. You may use Auto Backup on your mobile device. You can also update your Google Maps by adding your home and work addresses. Of course, you need to take lots of photos and upload them to your Google+ account.
