Google Glass is now available without an invitation. For a limited time Google will be selling Glass to those who are ready to part with $1,500. As we recently learned — Google had said “the number of spots available is limited.” And to clarify here, those making a Glass purchase today will be buying into the Explorer program.

You will have the option to choose between Charcoal, Tangerine, Cotton, Shale or Sky for color. The purchase includes Glass along with a USB cable and wall charger, mono earbud and carrying pouch (for Glass). Also included will be an option to choose between a shade or frame.

There are four options for the frames and three options for the shades. The regular price for these are $225 and $150 respectively. But remember, those going with the frames will only be getting clear lenses and will then need to get the prescription glass from their eye doctor.

While the decision is still tough given the $1,500 purchase price, it was nice to see Google announce the Kit Kat update yesterday. This update will be removing the video call option, but it will bring some additional perks — one of which is the promise of improved battery life. Bottom line here, if you want Glass and have yet to get an invitation — now is the time.
