The official Google Clock was made available for non-Nexus devices a few months ago and now the app is receiving an update. If you’ve been using the ‘Clock’ on your Android device, you’ll be happy to know that you can now take advantage of its integration with Android Wear, as well as, some enhancements on timer and alarm management.
With the update, you can now choose a favorite timer ringtone and control the settings of timers straight from a notification. Volume for alarms and timers can be set to gradually increase while a new option to preemptively dismiss alarms within the app is now possible.
The Clock app’s integration with Android Wear brings easier alarm and timer management and interactive alarm notifications on the wearable platform. Of course, you can still do the basic functions like add timers, run a stopwatch, set alarms, and keep track of time. The World Clock will tell you the universal time and what time is it wherever in the world.
Google’s Clock app continues to bring all time-telling functionalities most people need in one app. Pair this with your latest Android Wear smartwatch to bring more advanced timers and alarms to your wrist. It’s still integrated with the voice commands on Google Now. Just say “OK Google, set an alarm” and the app will automatically do the job.
