When Google introduced the Google Cast for audio, they promised that more and more wireless speakers will be adapting this technology so you can easily stream your music from your mobile devices to supported speakers. Bang & Olufsen is the latest brand to get in on the action as they announced that their network speakers, the Beoplay A6 and Beoplay A9 2nd generation plus all other future network speakers, will now come with Google Cast support.

The current speakers mentioned will just have a software update and afterwards, users can already stream their music using the Google Cast technology. Supported apps like Google Play Music, Spotify, Pandora, Rhapsody, etc, will have a Cast button somewhere there and all you need is to tap that button, choose your B&O speaker and start streaming. You can adjust the volume and change the songs from your device.

Google Cast actually streams directly from the cloud and so the sound quality that will come out of your speakers is the highest that it can be. It also saves up your battery since you are streaming from the cloud and not using Bluetooth. And while you’re streaming, you can keep using your smartphone normally, like sending messages, browsing your social networks, etc and it won’t interrupt your music.

The Beoplay A6 and Beoplay A9 2nd generation will receive the Google Cast support through a software update that has started rolling out. Future network speakers will already have the tech available. Aside from Google Cast, both speakers are also friendly with Airplay, Bluetooth and DLNA.
