Samsung hit a home run with its new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices with people having a hard time getting their hands on the Edge due to the popularity and tight supply. Both of the smartphones are available globally now and a Canadian carrier called Rogers has posted an upgrade schedule that shows an Android update is heading to both devices early next month.
According to the update schedule Rogers posted, Android 5.1 will land for both of the new Samsung devices next month. No specific date was offered and the upgrade schedule page also noted that upgrade schedule was subject to change. This is the first word we have heard about an upgrade for the smartphones next month.
The update is expected to bring some new features including a Guest mode that lets you add profiles for guests. That could be just the thing for parents who have kids that love to play with their phone. If you have somehow missed the details about the Galaxy s6 and S6 Edge, you must live under a rock.
The main difference between the S6 and the S6 Edge is a screen with curved edges on the Edge. Both screens hare the same display resolution and size. Tests claim that the S6 Edge is easier to bend and break than the normal S6 so be careful with the handset in your pocket, particularly when you sit down.
