It may have taken Fujifilm two years to release a follow up to the SHARE SP-1 printer but instax addicts will be happy to know that the instax SHARE Smartphone Printer SP-2 is finally here. This new printer is perfect for printing those mobile snaps quickly when you want a hard copy for posterity’s sake. This one prints fast under ten seconds, giving that classic and instant feel of taking photos with a Polaroid.
Why print when you can just store photos on your device or the cloud? Well, some people still appreciate hard copies of photos. Kids nowadays don’t even know that people used to take photos with film cameras. With this instax printer, at least, we can share the experience with the young generation and tell them how it is to wait and share photos and not just click-choose-filter-send-post.
This instax smartphone printer is an improved version of the first model released in 2014. This one also boasts of a higher image resolution and contrast, thanks to a new exposure system. The printer works with a special ‘instax SHARE’ app where you can use a custom filter, change the contrast/brightness, adjust saturation, combine photos in one instax, or even split an image into two.
You can choose from either the Gold or Silver model. It’s also supported on both iOS and Android as long as there’s the instax SHARE app installed. Device is powered by a rechargeable battery which can be charged via a micro USB port directly.
