FreedomPop has been making waves in the US for a while now. Most recently, the company rolled out access to 10 million hotspots in the US for an access fee of $5 monthly. That access to the WiFi hotspots is unlimited allowing users to get all they want or the low monthly fee. Mobile users in the UK looking for something less costly can now try out FreedomPop.
FreedomPop service has expanded to Europe for the first time with the free provider landing in the UK this summer. The free service tier in the UK will include 200 minutes of talk, 200 texts, and 200MB of data service. It also includes free international calling to more than 60 countries.
If you have friends that use FreedomPop, the service does offer free unlimited calls and texts to each other. The company also has a global SIM card for the free service called Jetsetter that will be offered in the UK, Spain, and France to begin.
Those unfamiliar with FreedomPop wondering how it works will be glad to hear that the service will work on any device. There is an app available for Android and iOS devices that allow you to get FreedomPop calls and texts on your device. You do need a FreedomPop SIM card to go along with that app.
