While waiting for the ELE Watch to be announced, check out this new smartphone from Elephone. The Elephone Vowney is the latest Android smartphone from the Chinese company that we’re sure you’d want to place beside the HTC One A9, the iPhone 6, or the numerous phone models that look like it. This one though can be considered as a high-end phone with the premium specs but surprisingly, still comes with a mid-range price.

The Elephone Vowney comes equipped with a 5.5-inch 2K screen with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 535 pip, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 4GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage, 20.7MP Sony IMX 230 HD back camera, 8MP front-facing cam, NFC, and a 4000 mAh battery. The phone boasts of impressive imaging technology and features that include 0.3s fast autofocusing, HDR function, 4K video shooting, and phase-detection autofocus technology.

The Vowney runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It also features Dual SIM card support and 4G/LTE connectivity so you can be network accessible anywhere. Making this one remarkable phone is the 2K screen that is not common in the market. You can also quick-charge the phone to full 100% battery within 2.5 hours.

Back in April, we said the next Elephone device will run both Windows 10 and Android. While it looks like the one shared by Neowin, the Elephone Store doesn’t have any mention if the model runs Microsoft’s operating system. Most of the specs mentioned can be found on the new phone except for the dual system feature. The Vowney only runs Android Lollipop, no Windows Phone or Windows 10 at all. Price starts at $289.
