We told you to brace yourself for more Star Wars marketing gimmicks as the new film, The Force Awakens, is just less than a month away. Bad news for those who aren’t fans, but good news for those who are (and they are legion). The latest slew of online activities is a partnership between Disney and Google as they bring you even more interactive experiences and coming soon, a new virtual reality experience as well, created with Verizon.

When you log into google.com/starwars, you will be made to choose as to which force you will align yourself: the dark side or the light side. Once you’ve made your choice, all the Google apps and devices you’ve registered with your email address will transform to show which side you’re on. This includes Android Wear watches, Google Calendar, Chrome, Chromecast, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Now, Waze, YouTube, and added features on Inbox, Google Translate and Google Search. Don’t worry, you can still change allegiance, in case you don’t like the design of your current one.

Then by December 2, just a few days before the movie comes out in theaters worldwide, a new virtual reality experience will be coming to Google Cardboard Virtual Reality. It’s the “first of its kind” serialized experience, which is actually directly connected to the opening of The Force Awakens. You will actually be able to find tin the official Star Wars app which can be downloaded on your Android device/devices. Four Google Cardboard viewer designs will also be available in Verizon stores by December 2 as well.

Expect more Star Wars goodies to roll out in the next few days. Oh and if you haven’t tried it yet, you should try searching for “a long time ago in a galaxy far away” on your Google home page and see what happens.
