There are a lot of camera apps out there, all to help you take better photographs using your mobile device. Gone are the days when “real” photographers would sneer (although some still do) at mobile photography, and in fact, a lot of them use smartphones to practice and enhance their craft. Apps like Camera FV-5 actually bring DSLR-like features to your device, and now, version 3.0 is here to actually enhance even more your photography skills.

If you’re not familiar with the app yet, the FV-5 gives your smartphone added features, similar to those of an actual DSLR camera, like ISO, white balance, exposure bracketing and compensation, and a focus mode. The latest update to the app brings more features and even a new user interface. You now have new icons, toolbars, and exposure sliders. You also now have a built-in image gallery so all the stuff that you shot here can be in just one place. It also now has face detection, a quick sharing menu, and full screen mode if the picture is all you want to see.

The app now has an intervalometer which allows you to create time-lapse videos and if you want to take long exposure photos, you can do so using that new feature. You also now have an immersive mode, in case you don’t want any other distractions while on a photo-taking mood. It will just be the image you’re taking and the capture button available on the screen.

You can download the Camera FV-5 from the Google Play Store for $3.95 if you don’t have it yet. If you already have, just update it to the latest version 3.0.
