C Spire HTC One users have an update on the way. Coming by way of the HTC website, the Android 4.3 update has been detailed. C Spire users may want to be on the lookout for an update notification and the update will be arriving as version 2.04.563.3. The changelog for this one is short and to the point; Android 4.3 along with some unspecified bug fixes.
Assuming you have a C Spire HTC One, you now have two available options — sit back and wait for the notification to arrive or dive into the settings and try to get it now. Those taking for former approach will simply need to follow the prompts (once the notification actually arrives).
Those who feel they must have it now will need to grab that handset and navigate to Settings -> About -> Software updates -> Check now to get the process started. After the update shows, just follow the remaining prompts. Otherwise, HTC warns the handset will “reboot multiple times and show software update screens” during the process.
Simply put, let the phone do what it needs and make sure to never try and turn it off during the process. Aside from that important warning, you will want to make sure you have about 20-30 minutes time and that you are connected to a charging cable. Aside from C Spire, we also saw the same Android 4.3 update begin arriving for AT&T HTC One users earlier in the week.
That of course, leaves T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless users still waiting. We have yet to see anything specific from either carrier, however earlier in the month, HTC did say that all major US carriers should have the 4.3 update available before the end of October.
