Another day, another Android tablet, though unfortunately this is a Tegra 2 slate that, for the moment at least, you won’t actually be able to buy. ODM BYD is showing its new Alice design, an 8.9-inch WSVGA slate running Froyo on NVIDIA’s second-gen Tegra 250 chipset. As well as WiFi, Bluetooth and all the usual sensors, Alice has a useful kick-stand on the back.

There’s also up to 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot and a mini HDMI port, together with microUSB, a headphones socket and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Now all the ODM needs to do is find a manufacturer wanting to slap its brand on it.
