If you don’t know what Boulder Dash is, then maybe you’ve been living under a rock or was born in the new millennium. I’m not concealing my age here but I know the Boulder Dash game is celebrating its 30th Anniversary. Originally released in 1984 by First Star Software, the Boulder Dash creators Peter Liepa and Chris Gray collaborated once again to bring this new version of the game for Android.
The Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary game edition features new challenges and exciting actions. Gameplay is still the same but now you’ll see Rockford and the elements in 3D. (So that’s how Rockford looks like?) Avoid the enemies and the falling boulders and collect valuable gems. Along the way and as you head for the cave exit before time runs out, pick up treasure chests filled with power-ups and rare collectibles.
The special Boulder Dash edition features more than 200 new levels, more than 10 unique worlds, and 9 playable characters including a female named Crystal (Not sure if it’s Crystal Cave though). Added to the original gameplay are new puzzles, ramps, and diagonal movements to make Boulder Dash more exciting.

Loved this game on my Apple ][ years ago. Not so sure about IAPs though. I sure hope they aren’t necessary.
