BlackBerry is still a name that will continue to be a part of the mobile industry. It may not be as popular especially when it comes to being a work phone but the brand has ventured in the Android game. Numbers may not be as high as projected but the Canadian smartphone pioneer is hoping sales will improve after the DTEK50 is made available. The mid-range phone has recently joined the BlackBerry PRIV in serving the Android community.

Before BlackBerry DTEK50 was launched, we were introduced to the idea of the Neon, Mercury, and Argon. Only the Neon phone was launched as the DTEK5O. We don’t know what happened to the other two but BlackBerry made the mistake of posting the Argon aka DTEK60. The page has since been deleted by the company.

Well, there’s no denying the leak. It seems credible since the name is related. The DTEK60 reference somehow proves that it’s about to be unveiled. Specs we know so far include a 5.5-inch QHD screen, 4GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 32GB storage, USB-C, and a fingerprint scanner. The differences between the DTEK50 and the yet-to-be-unveiled DTEK60 are not that many but we know the latter will be pricier.
