Analysts have been predicting for a few years now that pretty soon, everyone will be on the cloud. But one thing that has been preventing some from actually going there are the security risks and of course, the limited amount of free storage you get. The arrival of the BitTorrent Sync app last year has enabled users to share large files without the cloud but through peer 2 peer sharing, but they could only view said files. But now, the newest update to the app gives you the power to create and edit, aside from just sharing files though the app.
Aside from syncing files across devices and sharing them to other users (those that you want to of course), now Bittorrent Sync allows you to edit files and it will also automatically sync across all the smartphones and tablets where the file is also saved or synced to. This is a good tool that can be used for group school assignments, collaborative projects at work, or even planning a vacation among family members.
Another new tool that you can use BitTorrent Sync Mobile for is to create files from other apps, like a spreadsheet, a video you’re making on an editing app, or just notes on your note-taking app, and then save it to a Sync folder. It will then be synced, again to all the devices you’ve installed the app to or to whomever you’ve shared/synced that folder to. You can also now work directly from your device’s camera roll, and then choose the photos and videos you want to save onto your Sync folder.
There are so many other things you can do with these new features of BitTorrent Sync Mobile. You can check the Google Play page to see if the update has already reached you.
