I know, I know. We haven’t really been feeding you guys good games lately, and we take responsibility for that. So the best thing to do? Give you five games today, five reasons to be happy and excited for gaming on your mobile device. We hope this keeps you busy for a while, because this list is good.
World of Warcraft Legion Companion

Ok, so it might be that this app has taken a looong time coming, but Blizzard finally wised up and came out with a mobile companion app. WoW Legion is the sixth expansion of the legendary MMORPG World of Warcraft, and it introduces new areas and features to the game. The WoW Legion Companion app will allow players offline from the main game to track world quests. It also allows players to access Order Hall missions and even get them started right from your mobile. Of course, you have to finish them within the game. The app has received a lot of great feedback, and we wonder why it took some time for Blizzard to realize that they needed an app like this. Download it for free from the source link below.

Space Rangers: Quest

This one is an interesting new take on the sci-fi game genre. Space Rangers: Quest is actually a text-based game, so you’ll have to do a bit of reading to move forward in the game. If you’re into hardcore RPG gaming, then this shouldn’t be an issue for you. The text-based gameplay is intelligently mixed in with standard RPG elements of levelling up and finishing quests to open up more gameplay areas within the game. As player, you’ll need to find parts of your space map in order to access all of the galaxy you’re in, and these map parts can be anywhere. In finding the parts, you will have to deal with all sorts of hostile creatures and people, as well as random events. This also means that each playthrough will be different. Pretty cool. Download it at a premium price of USD$5.45, but this will be money well spent, we guarantee.

Randal’s Monday

Point-and-click games can really be enjoyable, especially if the developers place the gameplay in a very engaging environment, great cartoon graphics, and an engaging storyline. Randal’s Monday ticks all of the checkboxes here – a point-and-click game that follows the story of Randal Hicks, who isn’t exactly your model citizen/hero archetype. Randal is a kleptomaniac, a sociopath, and a horrible friend, but the developers have made his story interesting by putting in space-time odysseys, humorous and mad situations and geek culture references to boot. This is a great time-waster for you, if you’re looking for one – free to download with IAPs.

Apocalypse Max

If you’re looking for some good old hack-and-slash, then Apocalypse Max will be the way to go. Four years after the game debuted in iOS, it now makes its way to Android (finally). The game follows the character of Max (duh), who is the lone survivor of the zombie apocalypse, and you will attempt to survive 20 levels of pure chaos. The game has 16 types of zombies, 18 unlockable weapons which includes knives if that’s your thing, and nine worlds to get through. This is all that we can say without spoiling the game for you, so download it from the link below. It’s still pricey at the iOS app store, so we can rejoice that the game is free to download at the Google Play Store.

Dragon Sword

Lastly, here’s a hack-and-slash game for those of you who like old school medieval-type storylines. Dragon Sword follows the adventures of Ryu (not related to the Street Fighter guy), who sets out into the virtual world with his sword to defeat evil. Pretty generic storyline, but the gameplay is engaging in that it is so simple to play. The game utilizes touch controls for all the movement and combat, and it is spread out over several different environments that include forests, tundras, islands, beaches, and deserts so you won’t get bored. The game is free to download via the link below.
