It’s not just LG busy advancing its latest smartphones. AT&T has just announced that it will be carrying the new LG G Vista 2 from the South Korean tech giant. The new Vista phone comes with a large screen and a stylus so we can say it directly rivals the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
The LG G Vista 2 is a follow up to first Vista phone launched August last year, still having the same size and 5.7-inch display screen. This time though, the G Vista 2 bears a 1080p display, an update from the old 720p of the previous model. We’re not sure about the processor but we’re guessing it’s gonna be an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset–another upgrade from the old quad-core Snapdragon 400.
It’s a phablet alright and it comes equipped with an updated stylus pen. Other specs include A 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing shooter, 16GB of built-in storage, 2GB RAM, and a 1-watt speaker. Unit is powered by Android Lollipop out of the box but it should be upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow since LG has announced that it’s preparing a number of devices for the fluffy update.
As with the earlier Kyocera announcement, LG didn’t say anything about pricing and availability. We’re hoping just before the holidays so at least people get the device before the LG G5 is rumored, leaked, announced, and then made available. LG will have more time then to market this phablet.
