Details were originally announced yesterday, and as expected, both AT&T and US Cellular will begin accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5. Details on the AT&T pre-order page now point towards a shipping date of April 8th. As mentioned yesterday, US Cellular has said the Galaxy S5 will be available in-store on April 11th.
Both carriers have the 16GB model priced at $199.99 on a two-year agreement. While both have the same two-year price point, there are some differences in pricing, and in a perk offered by US Cellular. Customers who place an online pre-order with US Cellular will get a $50 Play Store credit.
As for AT&T, along with the two-year pricing, customers can also opt for the Next program — which in this case offers options for Next 12 and Next 18. The Next 12 option means 20 monthly payments of $32.50 and the Next 18 option means 26 monthly payments of $25. AT&T customers will also be able to get a $100 bill credit for new postpaid lines of service.
US Cellular has yet to mention anything in regards to pre-orders for the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo or Gear Fit. AT&T on the other hand, has them all available, and is even offering a special deal for those who pick up a Galaxy S5 with either a Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo. That special offer is simple — save $50 on the wearable when you purchase both. Otherwise, the pricing is as follows; Gear 2 at $299, Gear 2 Neo at $199, and Gear Fit at $199.
