ASUS has just introduced a new series of smartphone that will probably make the selfie-addicts jump for joy. The ZenFone Selfie is actually just the ZenFone 2 but the front-facing camera has been improved for better selfies. ASUS also changed the chipset from an Intel Atom to a Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip–something we all learned would happen last month.
The selfie camera now boasts of a 13MP resolution, 88-degree field of view, Dual LED Real Tone Flash, and an f/2.2 aperture. Making this and ideal smartphone for taking selfies are the following: PixelMaster Selfie technology with Blacklight Super HDR that improves balance, ZenMotion that lets you just swipe S for selfies, the Beautification mode that lets you edit and create flawless-looking photos, the dual-LED Real Tone flash, and the 4x sensitivity in low-light conditions for the front-facing cam.
The new ZenFone selfie also boasts of the Selfie Panorama that lets you take 140-degree panoramic selfies. As for the main camera, it impresses with a laser auto-focus technology for clarity and macro focus up to 6cm. Phone also comes with the same 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display screen.
