We knew that the Asus Zenfone Go would be arriving in India because it was spotted even earlier on Flipkart. Phone was officially launched in India in September and looks like it was a success as the Taiwanese tech giant is introducing a new variant. The Zenfone Go 4.5 is a smaller version but it comes equipped with 1GB RAM, 3G connectivity, and a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6580 processor.
The new ZenFone Go boasts of a 4.5-inch FWVGA display screen, Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed, 5MP main camera, LED flash, VGA front shooter, Mali 400MP2 GPU, 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a 1600mAh battery. That’s not much but features are good enough for an entry-level Android smartphone. The unit also runs Zen UI 2.0 and offers Dual SIM support.
The Indian version is only available in black. It measures 67 x 135 x10.1mm and weighs only 133.5 grams. Price tag reads 5,299 Rupees which is about only $80, making it into the budget Android phone category. Phone is now available on Flipkart but will also be offered offline and in other ASUS Exclusive Stores starting January.
You can enjoy as much as 2000 Rs. discount on retail or if you exchange your phone. That means you can get it for as low as $50 in USD. Very cheap. It’s the perfect gift for those people looking for their first smartphone or maybe something you can give to your kids or teens.
