ASUS was one of the many companies who opened IFA 2014 with announcements of new products. We’ve seen the ZenWatch earlier, ASUS’ first wearable device. Next to be introduced is another addition to the very successful MeMO Pad family of Android tablets.

The MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) is more of an upgraded and slimmer version now at 8.3mm thick and with a new Atom Z3560 processor. This thin and lightweight tablet looks stylish in either black or gold.

Considered as a high-end tablet by ASUS, the MeMO Pad 7 impresses with a 1920 x 1200 Full HD IPS display, Bluetooth aptX for better audio quality, and the latest ASUS ZenUI. Making this tablet lightweight is its material made from duralumin and fiberglass. Compared to its predecessor, the new MeMO Pad 7 features rounded edges for a more comfortable grip.

Aside from the Android KitKat mobile OS, the ASUS device is preloaded with ZenUI. If you get a ZenWatch smartwatch, you can unlock the tablet by touching the two devices together.

ASUS will be releasing the tablet in three colors: Burgundy Red, Gentle Black, and Rose Champagne. WiFi-only and WiFi/LTE versions will be available complete with a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 2GB memory, and 16GB or 32GB storage capacity.

The MeMO Pad 7 will be ready by Q4 at an unknown price but we know tablet will be released in the UK and the US.
