Just a few weeks ago, a leaked internal document from Chase Bank showed that they would start supporting Android Pay as a mobile payment gateway by September 7. And yes, apparently that document was legit because Android Pay has now announced that the customers of the bank and its various card products will now be able to use it to pay for their online and offline purchases in stores that support it. Plus, Android Pay also announced several upcoming new features and deep integration with merchants like Uber.

Chase is one of the largest banks in the US and the addition of it in the roster of supposed financial institutions for Android Pay is a welcome development, especially for those users who kept complaining (some very colorfully) as to why Google wasn’t adding the bank yet. Well now the wait is over for those who have debit cards, credit cards, and other supported accounts in the list. They will now be able to make these contactless payments at supported stores and even some online purchases as well.

They have also added Uber’s Payment Rewards program and is the first mobile wallet that is deeply integrated with it. Users of both will be able to unlock special rewards. For example, starting October 15th all users who use Android Pay to pay for their Uber rides will get 50% off 10 Uber rides, without having to input any codes or install anything.

Soon, those who use online stores will be able to speed out the mobile checkout progress by using Android Pay. They will be able to use this on sites like Groupon.com, 1-800-Flowers.com and more to come. You can be assured that account numbers are not shared with merchants, just like when you pay for your offline purchases using Android Pay.
