Android 5.1 Android One

If you’re waiting for Android 5.0 Lollipop to arrive on your smartphone or tablet, I’m sorry but looks like Android 5.1 will soon catch up. This could be frustrating but at least we know Google is working fast on making things sweeter and better for the Android fans. The rumored Android 5.1 was recently spotted on the Android One page for Indonesia. This 5.1 could be the Android 5.0.3 already and Google must have changed its naming convention yet again. (Or could be a typo?)

Android One phones getting Android 5.1 is almost sure and those in Indonesia are highly anticipitating this version. As with most software updates, expect bug fixes, better performance, and improved battery life. We don’t have information on the exact improvements but some people are hoping for the memory bugs to be fixed. Apparently, such bugs cause reloading of apps and slow phone performance.

Over at Reddit, someone posted the ‘First changes on Android 5.1’. The poster noted the Bluetooth and WiFi toggles getting a drop down menu. Volta also received a new battery screen according to a certain Lucky Sebastian on Twitter (@gadtorade).

Google might be working on Android 5.1 for Nexus devices as well if we are to believe some sightings and reference to Android 5.1 for Nexus devices all over the Internet. They could only be speculations but we’re almost confident that Android 5.1 is for real. We hope to hear confirmation from Google very soon.
